We have several types and styles of refrigerator magnets available. We have miniature beer bottle and beer can magnets, crown magnets made from brewery crowns (bottle tops), flat magnets in various shapes, and lucite (Plastic) flat magnets. These magnets can be used as refridgerator magets to hold up messages on metal boards or in the case of the crown magnets as an interesting way to collect beer bottle crowns. The miniature bottles and cans are actual small cans and bottles.

Interesting Magnet Fact:

In 2001 a team of scientists led by Professor Jacob Ishay from Tel Aviv University, Israel, reported that oriental hornets (wasp like insects living throughout N. Africa, the Near East and Indian sub-continent) attach a tiny magnetic crystal to the roof of each hexagonal chamber in their comb. The crystals are used as magnetic "surveyor's spirit levels" that ensure that nests are aligned correctly and do not become lopsided, as it is believed that the crystals help the hornets to assess the symmetry and balance of the cells by comparing the magnetic field with the gravitational field. Hornets' nests are usually built from horizontal layers of combs supported by vertical scaffolding. The crystals are glued with saliva to the centre of the roof of each cell, away from the egg. The crystals may also help the hornets to navigate in the dark chambers. The tiny opaque round crystals, diameter approx. 0.1 mm, are made up largely of iron, titanium and oxygen and may be similar to the natural magnetic mineral ilmenite FeTiO3 . A study is to be undertaken of whether bees and wasps use the same magnetic technique.
