Pot Holders - Hot Pads
Aprons - Bar Towels

We have several kitchen items such as pot holders, aprons and bar or kitchen towels for the cook or cheif who is also a beer lover.

Our Hot pads are handmade with cloth that has beer related objects in the pattern. This type of cloth or fabric is very hard to find because of the unique patterns. They have teflon sheets sewed into the middle of the hot pad to help shield the user from the hot dish or pan. They are available in a "square-in-square" pattern or a "Log Cabin" pattern. They would make an excellent gift to the person who enjoys a good beer while cooking.

Our plush "Bar Towels" also make good small kitchen towels.

A Brief History Of the Apron:

The origin of the kitchen aprons was practicality - in years gone by, people didn't have the luxury of owning extensive wardrobes, and washing of clothing was not done on a frequent basis. Even in the 1940's and 1950's many folks used wringer washers, hung clothing on the line to dry, and every piece had to be ironed. Aprons served a practical purpose - they covered up the dress underneath and protected it from soiling, and made washing easier - you could wash the apron or smock every couple of days, but wore the dress underneath 4-5 days or a week.

As well as being practical, aprons served a decorative purpose, and could be themed to the seasons. Aprons were used outside of the kitchen or house by school teachers, children, shop-keepers, even secretaries who wore various styles of aprons over their clothing daily.
