Wyoming Breweries History: Wyoming Brewing Company
Roger Pasch had the good fortune to apply to use "Wyoming" for his brewery
the day after the word became available. His Wyoming Brewing Company began
brewing on May 23, 1996 in Sheridan, Wyoming. Steve Schellhardt, formerly with
Kessler Brewing in Montana, helped oversee the brewing as a consultant.
The first brews that the Wyoming Brewing Company brewed were the German-style Spotted
Horse Lager, and the English-style Blue Sage Ale. The Wyoming brewery was producing
4,000 to 5,000 barrels annually by 1998.
