Wisconsin Breweries History: Mount Horeb Pub & Brewery

Mount Horeb Pub & Brewery opened in 1998 in a converted creamery. Sitting squarely in the middle of town, just off Main Street, the airy building immediately feels like a landmark. On one side of the entrance is a mammoth, glassed-in brewery, where the brew master produces his house specials. On the other side is a minimalist dining room punctuated by moderne-style chairs and tables and low-hanging lights.

Mount Horeb Pub & Brewery closed and reopened in 2001 as the Grumpy Troll.
