Washington Breweries History: Rocky Coulee Brewing
A pig, as defined by Rocky Coulee brewer Tom Schafer, is a 2 14 gallon brown glass jug. It's one of the units from which Schafer sells four kinds of beer from his microbrewery in Odessa Washington. Rocky Coulee Brewing is generally open from 5 to 9 p.m. Fridays, or if Schafer's pickup is outside, or if customers can otherwise track him down. Schafer, who lives in Grant County, 23 miles from his brewery, tells his customers if they're having a pig emergency, he'll try and meet them in town. Rocky Coulee Brewing beer can be found in restaurants and taverns in Othello, the Royal Slope area, Moses Lake, Ephrata, Soap Lake, George, Wilbur, Coulee City, Leavenworth, Quincy and Wenatchee. |
