Washington Breweries History: Maritime Pacific Brewing Company
Maritime Pacific Brewing Company is a small, family-owned brewery,
established in 1990. As traditional home port to Northwest mariners, the
Ballard district of Seattle provides Maritime Pacific the perfect setting
for a brewery with a seafaring name and tall ship as its emblem. George and
Jane Hancock were the founders of Maritime Pacific Brewing Company.
In 1997, Maritime Pacific Brewing opened a taproom adjoining the
brewery and named it the "Jolly Roger" in honor of their most popular holiday
brew.
