Washington Breweries History: Georgetown Brewing
Georgetown Brewing Company is a Seattle microbrewery that is a
draft beer only production brewery which means they only produce kegs.
Georgetown brewing is located in the heart of historic Georgetown district
in the original "Malt House" of the old Seattle Brewing and Malting Company,
the original brewers of Rainier Beer. Georgetown became a neighborhood of
Seattle when it was annexed in 1910.
In 1904, The seattle brewery(Rainer) was the largest brewery west of the
Mississippi River and with addition upon addition through 1912 it became
the sixth largest in the world.
