Pennsylvania Breweries History: Stoudt Brewing
Stoudt's Brewing restaurant started as Stoudt’s Country Kitchen and in 1964
became the Black Angus Steak House. Stoudt’s Brewing Company was actually
started in 1987 and brews European-style lagers and ales.
The Stoudt brewery went through a lot of changes in it's first
fifteen years. The size of the kettle was doubled, the bottling line was
upgraded from a hand operated hundred year old filler to a modern fully
automated production line, and the brewery underwent a million dollar
expansion that included a separate, temperature controlled lager cellar.
Stoudts Brewing Company adheres to the German Purity law of 1516.
