Pennsylvania Breweries History: Reading Brewing Company (Reading Brewery)

The Reading Brewing Company was founded in 1886 and lasted until prohibition in 1920. During prohibition the company was named "Health Beverage Company" but after prohibition ended it was started back up as the "The Old Reading Brewery, Inc". In 1965 it was renamed to "Reading Brewing Company" (aka The Reading Brewery) and was finally closed in 1976.
