Pennsylvania Breweries History: Old Dutch Brewing Company

In 1930 the first modern supermarket, King Kullen Grocery, opened in New York. King Kullen Grocery contracted with Old Dutch brewery in Allentown Pennsylvania to brew a beer with the King Kullen name on it: King Kullen Premium Beer, brewed by Old Dutch Brewing Company but distributed by King Kullen Grocery Company.

The Old Dutch Brewing Company also contacted to brew a Premium Beer and a Pilsner Beer for Shop-Rite Supermarkets.
