Oregon Breweries History: Full Sail Brewing Company The Full Sail brewery (Started in 1987) is located in Hood River, Oregon, in the scenic Columbia River Gorge. Known for its ripping winds, endless mountain bike trails, fast water, and deep snow, the region is often referred to as "The Adrenaline Capital of the Northwest". Full Sail Brewing was the first micro brewery to successfully bottle beer in the state of Oregon. In 1999 Full Sail brewing became an employee-owned brewery. Full Sail is one of the few employee owned breweries on the west coast. The Full Sail Brewing Company brews a line of handcrafted ales and lagers including the award-winning Full Sail Amber, Pale and Rip Curl Ale, as well four seasonal brews. Full Sail is available in 14 western states: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Texas, Washington and Wyoming.
