Nevada Breweries History: Tenaya Creek Brewery and Restaurant
Tenaya Creek opened in November of 1997 and is the first brewery
to open in the northwest region of the Las Vegas Valley. It is also the first
brewpub in Las Vegas not owned by a casino or large corporation.
Tenaya Creek is a family operation.
Tenaya Creek's standard beer is the Nut Brown Ale. At 4.5% abw, it is full-bodied
and malty with a lasting chocolatey aftertaste. Other rotating seasonals
that have been served are a pilsner, wheat, pale ale, porter, barley wine,
dunkelweizen, an imperial stout and a doppelbock.
Although Tenaya Creek can stand on its own with its beer, it is geared more
toward a fine restaurant than a pub.
