Montana Breweries History: Big Sky Brewing Company The Big Sky brewery opened on July 3, 1995. By the year 2001 they had outgrown their original brewery and in 2002 build a new much larger brewery. Big Sky Brewing Company's philosophy is based on two simple goals. First, they brew beers that they love to drink themselves. Second, they have as much fun running their business as they possibly can. At Big Sky Brewing Company, all of their employees are brewers. When you talk to any one of them you are talking to a brewer, not just someone who is paid to say nice things about our beer.
