Michigan Breweries History: Michigan Brewing Michigan Brewing Company, a microbrewery founded in 1995, is located in Webberville, Michigan and has won several local and regional awards for its own brands of beer styles. After dropping out of the brewing scene for several years, Celis White has been revived by Michigan Brewing Company with the blessing of its founder and his daughter, Christine Celis. Assisting the transition, Mr. Celis brought over his brew engineer, Jean Luc Suys, from Belgium to guide Michigan Brewing Company (MBC) in the re-birth of this world recognized beer. “Bringing back the Celis White has been a privilege and to have it take a Gold Medal once again at the GABF, is truly an honor. Our entire team put a lot of hard work into this program and the medal is a great validation of our efforts. We are committed to keeping this beer at its Gold standard for everyone to enjoy,” says MBC’s owner Bobby Mason.
