Kansas Breweries History: River City Brewing
The River City Brewing Company opened its doors in March 1993
and is located in the heart of OldTown in Wichita, Kansas.
As of 2003 River City Brewery is Wichita's only brewpub still in operation.
River City is the first brewpub in Wichita and as of 2003 only the third
brewery to open in Kansas since world war II. Handcrafted beer, fresh food
and a relaxed atmosphere are the cornerstones of the River City operation.
River City Brewing continually offer six different styles of
microbrews. From lightest to darkest they are: Harvester Wheat, Raspberry
Wheat, Rock Island Red, Old Town Brown, Emerald City Stout and an ever
changing seasonal that celebrates the diversity of beer from all around
the world.
