Colorado Breweries History: Rockies Brewery The Boulder Brewing Company was formed in 1979 and was housed in a former goat shed. In 1980 the brewery when public with a penny stock sale. In 1984 the current brewery was built at 2880 Wilderness Place. In 1990 the brewery went private and the name was changed to Boulder Beer Company and the name was changed again in 1993 to the Rockies Brewing Company to relect the reginal nature of the business. That also was the year that SingkeTrack was first brewed.
