Arizona Brewery History: Black Mountain Brewing

Black Mountain Brewing was opened in 1989 by Ed Chilleen. Ed started putting a hot serrano chili pepper into the beer instead of a slice of lime back in the 80's with chili beer served at the pub. Ed with brewer Juan Olguin brew the original "Cave Creek Chili Beer" "Juanderful Wheat" "South of the Border Porter" "Ocotillo Amber" " Frog light" and the original "Black Mountain Gold". The Chili Beer is sold in about 20 states in the U.S., Japan, and China.
