Washington Breweries History: Skagit River Brewery
In December 1994 Skagit River Brewery obtained a former
Pacific Fruit and Produce Company 1929-vintage warehouse just at the edge
of downtown Mount Vernon, and converted the warehouse into a big, rambling
pub and brewery.
Skagit River's brews includes at least six beers, three or four of
which are poured at any given time. The perennials include Skagit Golden Lager,
Skagit Brown (originally Steelie-Brown) Ale, Yellow Jacket Pale Ale, and
Highwater Porter. Seasonals include Highland Scottish Ale, Huntsman Oktoberfest,
and Trumpeter Stout.
