Montana Breweries History: Spanish Peaks Brewing Company The Spanish Peaks Brewing Company was founded in 1991 in Bozeman, Montana near the foot of the Spanish Peaks mountain range. Unique in Montana, the Spanish Peaks Brewery, with attached ale house and italian cafe, specializes in Rocky Mountain-style ales. The Spanish Peaks Brewery list of brews include: Black Dog Ale, Black Dog Sweetwater Wheat Ale, Black Dog Yellowstone Pale Ale, Honey Rasberry Ale, Monterey Pale Ale, Monterey Lager and Peaches and Cream Ale. In the year 2002 Spanish Peaks stopped distributing beer in bottles. The Spanish Peaks Restaurant on North Church Avenue closed for business in Febuary of 2003.
